Can you believe that it’s already been 1 year since our Easter Bunny shoot? I sure can’t!
Even though last year’s shoot was a corporate one (see pics here), I had so much fun putting it together that I’ve decided to make it an annual adventure, offering our eFashionista’s the chance to participate and experience an exciting, Chocolate themed-photoshoot!
What makes this shoot even more interesting is the fact that it’s “indoors” in comparison to our Snow Bunnies that had to endure – 15 temperatures!
Not to toot our own horns or anything but we kinda ROCK at themed-photoshoots! This time around, imagine yourself immersed in a world of pastel colored cake pops, floral bouquets and pretty little a-line dresses that will make your hearts melt! And let’s not forget about our very special guest; Schmunko the rabbit.
Have you seen our themed “Alice meets Sugarland” video & shoot?

Hi there, I’m Jessica – eFashionista’s official Internista! I survived my very first eFashionista photoshoot experience to reveal all, despite the -16 temperature…
eFashionista’s Annual Snow Bunny Photoshoot took place at Montreal’s Snow Village. My day debuted bright and early (6:30am to be precise) chauffeuring Tania (Creative Director) and Joanna, the makeup artist to the Village.
Once we arrived at the village, my tasks included escorting the models to and from the igloos, assisting with dressing the models with lacy lingerie from GlobLove and accessorizing them with furry hats, gloves and oh-so chic leg warmers from Harricana. eFashionista does not actively support the fur trade, however, we’re proud to announce that Harricana’s fur is recycled!
Despite the chilling weather, I thought the experience was really interesting (and it’s not only because I was lucky enough to get my hair and makeup done before things got really busy!) By interesting I mean I learned a lot about what goes on behind-the -scenes at a photoshoot. I learned that even though a layout schedule for the day is made, it may become completely irrelevant due to a number of circumstances.
The entire experience felt like a stunning whirlpool. People were running around to get the best job done for the shoot. Not once was there ever a dull moment!
The cast and crew were great! Everyone was hand-picked by Tania according to their talents and what they brought to the table. The photographers were able to direct the models with ease, the hairstylists were able to sculpt hair into gorgeous styles, the makeup artists were fantastic at bringing out the icy cool snow bunny essence on the models, the video team captured every chilling moment and of course, the models were amazing at contorting their bodies in perfect poses all while attempting to control their shivers.
I quickly realized that photoshoots take a lot of coordination. It’s much more than just dressing models in pulchritudinous (beautiful) pieces and taking pictures. Even though it seems that only minutes were dedicated to making the final product, there is a lot more work that was poured into it. I now have a newfound respect for the fashion and modelling realm!
Be sure to check out the “behind-the-scenes” footage from our Snow Bunny photoshoot on eFashionista Fan Page.
Yours truly,
Jessica the Internista xxo
Showcases of beautiful baubles, whimsical wedding dresses, and cupcakes so pretty I almost felt too guilty to eat…Maddy K’s Bridal Boudoir was the ideal gateway as I embark on my eFashionista corporate adventure!
It was officially my first day as an eFashionista, being surrounded by sparkly jewels, couture dresses, pretty cocktails, and delicious desserts, was the epitome of happiness. It’s the equivalence of being a kid in a candy store with a pocketful of loonies; paying off the last of your student loan; scoring the winning goal; finding $5 in an old pair of jeans. Ok, you get the point – I had that giddy feeling all day long.
Highlights of my day?
- The fashion show absolutely wowed me. From the music to Galleria Della Sposa‘s beautiful dresses, everything was perfect. Wow moment(s)? The audible gasp from the audience when the model came out wearing a dress with an up to there, slit (it would make any traditional wedding dress blush!). I also loved seeing the eFashionista fascinators on the runway – they looked beautiful!
- Discovering Elsa Corsi’s stunning line of jewelry – it screams everyday princess! I’ve already added a pair of her vintage-inspired earrings to my birthday wish list (is it September yet?).
- Brahm Mauer Bar Services created cocktails sprinkled with cotton candy – need I say more?
- Cupcake et Macaron showcased the most beautiful cupcakes I had ever seen and they were topped with nutella icing. It was like a beautiful marriage (pun intended) between Ms. Beautiful and Mr. Delicious – may they live happily ever after!
- Being introduced to Globlove lingerie, which was on display at the eFashionista booth (see pics above). I quickly became smitten with the frilly, lacey garments. Hello, inner sex kitten?
If the Bridal Boudoir in all its romance, beauty, and deliciousness is any indication of what’s to come, I’ve seriously died and gone to eFashionista heaven!

These Madagascar vanilla cupcakes are injected with strawberry, dulce de leche buttercream and topped with edible lace!
Patrica from Patricia’s Cake Creations created these ultra couture designs by hand, which ultimately mimics cakes but in smaller form. Each cupcake takes approx. 8-10 minutes to decorate and a little longer when topped with individual sugar flowers. Cupcakes range from $3.50 – $5.00.
Not fan of buttercream, these sweet delights can be injected with chocolate ganache instead!
So what makes her cupcakes so special? All her ingredients are 100% natural. Her buttercream is made with cooked Italian meringue buttercream, giving them a natural moussy texture with a smooth & creamy feel. No artificial flavouring nor preservatives are used and all fruity flavours are made from fruit puree! A Fashionista must!

Hi eFashionistas! Your friendly neighborhood Bra Snob is back, although this will be a brief note. I’m currently packing all my best clothes (and lingerie of course) and heading off to New York City for a few days to attend Curve NYC. If you’re not familiar with the inner workings of the lingerie market, Curve is one of the major trade shows. Hundreds of brands show up to preview their collections for the next season and to talk with buyers and press.
I’ll also be spending a day at The Lingerie Journal’s Independent Designer Showcase to check out the latest independent and luxury brands that we all need to add to our collections. I’ll be back afterwards with lots of pictures and behinds the scenes tales, but until then here are some essentials that any Bra Snob needs to pack in her suitcase.
A Soak Wash Travel Pack:
I buy one of these every few months and parcel them out among trips. Soak makes washing your good lingerie on the road a breeze with their single wash packets. Soak smells great, will get your lingerie squeaky clean and doesn’t even require any rinsing. Just grab your favorite knickers, your hotel room sink, and a Soak packet and you’re all set.
A reasonable assortment of lingerie:
I always have a much harder time making decisions about what lingerie to take on a trip than what clothes to bring. For this trip, I opted for bras and panties that would disappear under my carefully planned work outfits and that would remain comfortable and supportive all day. I took one nude convertible bra, one t-shirt bra, and one plunge bra. I also made sure that I had the correct color bras for any sheer blouses or bodysuits that I took.
Don’t forget the basics:
Dying to show off that cute minidress or pencil skirt? Make sure you pack your shapewear to give you a smooth line underneath it. Are you planning on being a guest in someone’s house? Make sure to pack pajamas or nightgowns that you won’t be ashamed of someone else seeing.
