Welcome aboard Travelistas!

On Thursday, May 23rd, 35 executive eFashionistas explored the world of traveling in style at our private party alongside Tania Semper and her experts: hairstylist Maggie Semaan, make-up artist Eva Pavlakos and packing expert Carolyn Ko. This not-so-corporate event was graciously hosted in the Presidential Suite at the InterContinental in Old Montreal (spoiled much?! See for yourself – click here)

Our guests were fashionably greeted with eFashionista passports (cleverly disguised room keys…) and escorted to the 26th floor, suite 2600, a suite filled with girly goodness. What a refreshing break from the usual corporate stuffiness! With Skinny Girl margaritas in one hand, and scrumptious cake pops by Fashionista Treats in the other, our executive Travelistas mingled and immersed themselves in a world of luxury. They lavishly explored three realms key to stylish travel; hair, make-up and packing. So, how does one go from a business meeting to a rockin’ cocktail in 20 minutes?! No problem! Fab hair and make-up solutions were demonstrated on keen Travelistas. How about packing a carry-on for a 3-day business trip? No shortage of tips here ladies! Stunning Tumi luggage and a high-end wardrobe courtesy of Prfkt and Europa boutiques were used to show our guests tricks of the trade.

Oh and how could I forget to mention the glam giveaways at the end of the soiree?! If our guests weren’t spoiled enough already, they certainly were now. Luxurious high-end hair tools by Hair Forensic, a luxe travel pouch by Miss Mak, MaskerAid facial masks, gift certificates for hair, make-up and mani/pedis, Skinny Girl Margarita bottles…

Until next time Travelistas… xxo!

Shay Lowe knows how to dazzle her clients with extravagant jewellery designs. All of her pieces are made to order, exude sophistication, class and are filled with colorful detail – guaranteed to make a statement anywhere you go! So where does Shay get her inspiration? She’s heavily inspired by the glamour of the 80′s, Old Hollywood, vintage jewels, art and of course her travels.

“You have to be tapped into your creativity, your senses and what moves you. Know your brand and what emulates that and your customer”
Shay Lowe Spring Necklace 2013 TNP-220

Get up close & personal with Shay:

1. What would our Fashionista audience be surprised to learn about you?

Before I became a Designer/Entrepreneur many years ago, I had a whole other career in the legal field managing articling student programs and professional development. I’ve always been right brain/left brain. Being a Designer and Entrepreneur encompasses both. I love being driven by both sides…with passion!

2. What is your favourite piece of jewelry up to date?

All of my pieces are my favourites – you have to really love each piece but if I had to choose I’d say the statement necklace that was on the cover of FLARE Magazine.

3. What is your most sacred beauty / fashion possession?
My most sacred beauty possession is #1 – WATER! I drink tons of it – it’s uber healthy, keeps you looking young and fresh with glowing skin. My makeup favourites – I love Armani Fluid Sheer foundation, Lancome Hypnose mascara, Bobbi Brown blush, MAC highlighter/bronzer, and my Rimmel lip glosses! I can’t get enough of Jurlique rose scented products for my face and body.
My most sacred fashion possessions are my one-of-a-kind Swarovski encrusted cocktail ring I designed, my vintage jewel collection, my Mother’s jewellery, and my classic Louis Vuitton Speedy bag. I also have a pair of my ‘magic’ sparkly heels I got in NYC that I will never get rid of.

Nail Bar Giveaway

A few weeks ago I featured “Derm & Touche” as eFashionista’s latest nail bar gem! This ultra chic nail destination is located in Laval, and is most certainly worth the drive for those living outside of the city.

The nail experts recommended shellac, a fashionista’s most desired nail application to-date, and I can see why. You can read my review here.

It’s been over two weeks and although my cuticle is now fully visible, my shellac, Barbie coloured nail polish is still going on strong. I traveled to Chicago, Montreal, Toronto, spent countless hours bathing and pampering and yet, not even a chip. eFashionista approved!

I tried it, loved it and now I’m giving the exact same treatment away.

eFashionista Giveaway ~ We’re offering a fashionista + a friend a complimentary mani-pedi shellac treatment (valued at $160).

Simply follow these guidelines:
